Bald Rock (shown here) is only one of Butte County's spectacular natural sites. Native Americans' legend of a monster called "UINO" began here. It is told this monster protected the middle fork of the Feather River from atop the huge formation. Feather Falls, the sixth largest waterfall in the United States can also be found in Butte County. The county's numerous streams, lakes and rivers feed abundant fish & wildlife and offer impressive recreation.
